Our Wedding

It’s funny how small moments can, in hindsight, shape our lives in such profound ways. Our love story is the result of one of those small moments, back in 2018, when Alex was invited to a birthday party for a girl he didn’t know. Despite the immediate connection between them, I don’t think Alex ever thought that “the birthday girl in the pink dress” would turn out to be his soulmate. Not long after they first met, Jessica moved to Raleigh, where good fortune caused her and Alex’s paths to cross. Alex, determined to play hard to get, kept things light and casual until he finally asked Jessica out on their first date to City Market Sushi. There must’ve been something in that Downtown Raleigh water, because within weeks they were officially a couple, and their connection deepened with every shared experience. A beautiful journey has since ensued, filled with laughter, tears, adventure, and quiet moments. On tough days, Alex finds a way to make Jessica smile and laugh, always there to listen and support. Jessica, on the other hand, makes Alex remember what’s important in life, never failing to turn even the most obscure moment into something fun. They bring out the best in each other, inspiring one another to chase dreams and embrace life’s possibilities. Alex proposed to Jessica on a beautiful summer evening in the South of France. On the edge of a cliffside park that overlooked the stunning French Riviera, he got down on one knee. Jessica, without hesitation and through some tears, said “Yes!”. She had known for quite some time that Alex was her soulmate, making it the easiest decision she had ever made. As we prepare to embark on this next chapter of our journey together, we are filled with gratitude as we look around at our family and friends. We cherish the small moments that we’ve been able to spend with you over the years and look forward to spending many more together in the future. We cannot wait to celebrate with you and can’t thank you enough for being part of our love story. We can’t wait to share this special day with you and create memories that will last a lifetime!

We have room blocks at both Jekyll Island Club and Jekyll Island Ocean Club. For the discounted rate, kindly book your stay directly through the links provided below or call (912) 635-5171 and reference the Hunter-Pretty wedding. The Jekyll Island Club (sound side) is the main clubhouse and is located directly next to the wedding venue. Jekyll Island Ocean Club (beach side) is on the opposite side of the island roughly 5 minutes away. A van runs every 15 minutes to and from these two hotels. For those that wish to drive, there will be parking directly behind the Jekyll Island Club hotel.
